The people who send in a deposit get first pick of the available kittens in the order the deposit is received. The people who get offered the available kittens next are the ones who have answered the Buyer Questionnaire after contacting us. Last, they are announced on this web page.
We are now accepting deposits on the next litters of kittens due next Spring.

This has been a long time coming! It's very difficult to find
two lines that can produce a cream female but are not related,
so that there's no inbreeding, but we've finally done it!
Mikey is a cream male and Piper is a lilac cream (aka lilac
torbie) female.
There is a good possibility of a VERY rare cream female from this breeding!

Our kittens are descended from National Winner (NW) and Regional Winner (RW) lines, either within a few generations or even as one of their parents like Candy. For example, all of the kittens we have had so far have a great-grandfather who was a National Winner, the highest CFA title, along with other titled ancestors in the five-generation pedigree that we give to the new owners. This beautiful ruddy Abyssinian is in all of the Alexy cats we have. One reason for showing is to make sure we keep to the standard as the judges and other breeders interpret it. Another reason is to see friends that we only get to see during a show, and shows that our Abys are healthy, loving and beautiful cats. It also lets us interact with the public and show them what beautiful and wonderful cats Abyssinians are. We enjoy sharing the love of our Abys with you! :-)
We are breeding for show quality Abyssinians from show or breeder quality cats so most of our kittens are also show quality although none are guaranteed to be. If you wish to show your kitten we will be happy to advise and help you.
We hand raise all of our kittens from the first day they are born. They enjoy being picked up, purr when you pet them and love to play! Our kittens are picked up and petted and played with several times a day from the first minute they are born.

Like most responsible breeders, we do require that you fill out a prospective owner questionnaire via email. The questionnaire and deposit are required to be put on the waiting list for the next available kitten (in the order the deposit is received).
Blue River Aby kittens may go to their new homes starting at 12 weeks old. We insist on indoor-only homes, no declawing, and neuter or spay in our written contract. The kittens come with their first two 3-in-1 vaccinations (the last vaccination as a kitten needs to be at 16 weeks old) and five-generation pedigrees. They will be already spayed or neutered at our expense if they are sold as a pet.
Our written contract has a health guarantee. Our kittens are guaranteed free of FeLv, FIP, ringworm and other major diseases for four days (requires vet diagnosis), and from genetic diseases (requires UC Davis DNA testing results) and FIP (requires necropsy by vet) for one year.
The CFA or TICA registration papers will be sent upon proof of neuter or spay (vet certificate or copy of bill), or will be with the kitten if already neutered or spayed.
Shipping is extra and is usually about $250 within the continental U.S. We do not add on a charge beyond cost if the kitten is sent within the continental U.S. We ask that you pay the kitten handler directly (or pay COD or in advance for the kitten if shipped cargo).
We are available for advice for the lifetime of the kitten and we take this commitment very seriously. We also will take the kitten back if the new owner is no longer able to care for them at any time during their life.
A non-refundable deposit of $200 will be required to hold a kitten and be placed on the Priority Waiting List. You may make a deposit now using PayPal below, which also accepts all major credit cards without requiring a PayPal account.
